"Striving for excellence in quality, temperament and type" Welcome to Trezridge! We hope that you enjoy your visit to our web site. Please feel free to have a look around and contact us if you would like to know more! The prefix "TREZRIDGE" was founded in the 1970's by my grandmother Dot Trezise. At that time Dot was on of the few foundation people to import, show and breed Rhodesian Ridgebacks within Australia. rezridge RR's were very successful in the ring and the Trezridge line was assisted by some wonderful dogs fron Janet Murray's "Ulundi" Kennels. Some well known dogs bred by Trezridge would be Aust Ch Trezridge Regina, Trezridge Ruanda and Aust Ch Trezridge Uekoto C.D., an impressive boy owned by Pat Clancy-Worrell and Len Worrell of Bosjeman Kennels who can be seen in many great Ridgie's pedigrees to this day in Australia and also in Sweden where his semen was used as a foundation for AnnMarie Hilding's Djungelkattens Kennels. ANWAY, the "DOG BUG" is definitely in the blood so in keeping with family tradition I am now carrying on the family prefix and so here we are today... however with a few small differences, being Akitas and now more recently with the addition of "Rani", Pharaoh Hounds!!! We're a very small outfit and live in a house, not on a huge kennel property and we aren't into breeding every year or just for the sake of it. Our aim if we breed is for the continuation and improvement of the breed, including soundness (both mentally and physically), quality and the bog one... temperament. Because we only have a couple of dogs they have the benefit of living in a home environment with us and are somewhat spoilt!!! We believe especially as puppies being raised in a home environment & around other dogs helps them to learn social skills and adapt to situations better. Also they get that extra care and heaps of one on one attention, that we think larger kennels cant always provide. In short, our dogs are family first & show dogs second
